Dr. Celine Lai-Tong attained both her Doctor of Optometry Degree and Honours in Biomedical Sciences undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo.
As part of her training, Dr. Lai-Tong completed an externship at the Eye Associates of Pinellas, Florida where she worked closely with retinal and general ophthalmologists. She focused on treating and managing various eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal tears and macular degeneration. Dr. Lai-Tong also received training in refractive laser co-management and low vision.
Volunteering is also one of her core values. You can regularly find her at the Evergreen Centre for Street Youth providing extensive eye exams for the youth of Toronto. In 2012 she had the opportunity to volunteer internationally and was involved with establishing a grassroots humanitarian optometry clinic in Chinandega, Nicaragua.
She is fluent in French and moved to Richmond Hill in 1994 after living in Australia. She is looking forward to serving this beautiful community.
Dr. Lai-Tong is a member of good standing with the Canada Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario. She is also board certified to manage and treat with Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA).
